This listing is for a near mint condition Montreal Allouettes CFL Bank bobbin head, also known as nodders. They were made between the years 1962 and 1965. The CFL dolls are becoming more and more impossible to locate and the banks, are even more impossible. It is believed, although not confirmed, that the is a bank for one of every The production numbers are far far lower then that of the NFL and more and more collectors, like myself, are now tackling this set for something different to collect. There are were 9 different CFL franchises and all were made in bobbin heads, and perhaps turtle-like bobbin heads and perhaps touchdown bank bobbin heads. Those 9 franchises were as follows: British Columbia Lions, Calgary Stampeders, Edmonton Eskimos, Hamilton Tiger Cats, Montreal Alouettes, Ottawa Rough Riders, Toronto Argonauts, Saskatchewan Roughriders and Winnipeg Blue Bombers. I scrutinized this doll under a magnifying glass, as well as my black light, and can find no reason to believe that he isn’t completely original, never repaired, never painted, never refurbished in any way whatsoever.
