Measuring 6.5 inches high, this darling, Black Memorabilia, pudgy, Little clown Nodder was made in 1950’s Japan by the Ardalt China Company. Head nods back and forth by pivoting on a tiny metal bar inserted through the neck. The piece is signed on the bottom “Hand Painted Lenwile China Ardalt Japan 6530 A”. Looks like she is dancing! From the dress she is wearing we believe this piece is from the 1950s? A Neat Black Americana Piece to display and collect! Not many of these could have survived!! More neat stuff in our store! 11″ tall, and 9″ wide (at widest point on dress). Made of composition like material. There is some crazing and there is cracking going down the sides of her dress (see our photos for your best idea of condition). The piece is still strong and not falling apart. Otherwise, minor color loss! Displays nicely, and is solid! Package weight is about 3 pounds. This price is for the continental US. Here is a pair of Mint condition 1950’s Black Americana Nodders of a Black Boy and Girl , that are made of bisque and are nicely hand painted to a very high quality. They both measure about 6 tall. They both do not have any damage, or chips. Both of their heads nods up and down in a “Yes” motion when moved. Each figure is signed on the bottom of their foot “HAND PAINTED BY ARDALT – JAPAN”. It is very hard to find a matching pair of these nodders in this GREAT condition….. And at this LOW price! So don’t overlook this BARGAIN!
