This listing is for a Black Faced Oriole Nodder. He was made in 1962 and is absolutely gorgeous. The Oriole isnt the toughest of the Black Faces but in mint condition its always expensive. This guy stands 7 inches tall and if you place him under your black light, you can see that the bottom of his head has been retouched. This particular type was manufactured in 1962 and is part of the Green Base Series. He is absolutely stunning and will display beautifully as he’s not cracked or broken in any way and looks impressively mint. He has been however, repainted or restored. This particular type was manufactured from 1962-65 in Japan and is part of the Green Base Series. He is flawless, mint and and will display beautifully as he’s not cracked or broken in any way. He does have one particular spot under his head that may have been touched up with brown paint? It’s very minor, and impossible to spot without the aid of your black light, but I believe that it was repainted at that one spot. I can’t be sure, it’s very minimal and good but this is my belief so I’m listing him as such. If I’m wrong, you get a bonus but I’m not sure how you could ever be certain? The White Sox Black Face is one of the more common black faces, but in this condition, still impossible to find, as can be said about all the mint black faces. I paid over book price, bought him under the assumption that he was 100% original and had no work done. So I’ll now list him at my cost and move on. So if you’re looking for the nicest, most shelf minty looking White Sox ever, at a resonable price, here he is. I guarantee him to have never been broken but perhaps has been repainted slightly under his head.
