This interesting bobblehead snowman was marked Germany so made before Germany was split post-war. It stands approximately 7 inches tall and is about 3 inches wide. As shown in the pictures, this shows little wear for an 80+ year old flocked paper item. I see no chips, scratches, or wear marks. Only normal dust from displaying this item over the years. This cute snowman will make an excellent addition to any holiday collection on a shelf, a table or even under a tree. This will be carefully packaged for its trip to you. Pretty cool old piece, bobble head paper mache shaped as a duck candy container. Please note that it is missing the lower beak on his face. Over time, who knows what happened to it. Still functional, in good condition, from a smoke free environment. Coloring is still quite nice. Round belly container measures approximately 4 5/8 in diameter. She was made in Germany by the Heyde company, some time pre-WW2. She’s about 3 inches tall to the top of her bonnet. In the last picture I show a group shot of the collection of nodding cats that I will be listing (plus a few other miscellaneous Heyde figures). As far as I can tell, they are all Heyde. Heyde started in the 1870’s and produced a large line of metal toy soldier sets, inkwells, banks, desk items, and novelty figures. They did not make it out of WW2. For good source material look for the three out of print books that cover Heyde’s work: Mit Heyde Figuren um Die Welt, Heyde Hunters, and Old German Toy Soldiers (military, civilian, zoo figure sets).
