This is a 1962 Black Faced Philadelphia Eagle. He has great color, nice shine and displays beautifully. He has never had any work done to him and will look wonderful on your shelf. This listing is a Houston Oilers, Toes Up, 1961 AFL, mint condition, bobbin head, also known as nodders. They were made in the early sixties and the toes up version is by far the most beautiful and the cutest of all the football nodders. There are two varieties of this Oiler bobbin head. One has his shirt tucked in and neat while the other, like this one, is considered to be the “Baggy” version. This is also part of the infamous AFL toes up set, which happens to be my favorite. It contains the Dallas Texan, Houston Oilers, Buffalo Bills, New England Patriots, Denver Broncos, Oakland Raiders, New York Titans and the San Diego Chargers. In the set there are numerous exciting facts. The Patriots helmet has a 3 cornered hat, the Oilers has a gushing derrick, the Titans, is defunct and soon to be Jets, the Texans, soon to be Chiefs, has a beautiful decal of the state of Texas on both sides of his red helmet. There are no cracks, breaks or any other flaws anywhere and I guarantee him to be unrestored in any way and 100% original. This listing is for a PITTSBURGH STEELERS square base bobble head, also known as nodders. This one simply referred to as the square base, it has beautiful colors and looks awesome. It has nice colors, no cracks and displays beautifully. His has one ever so slight hairline under his chin, no one will see it. This listing is for a near mint condition Montreal Allouettes CFL Bank bobbin head, also known as nodders. They were made between the years 1962 and 1965. The CFL dolls are becoming more and more impossible to locate and the banks, are even more impossible. It is believed, although not confirmed, that the is a bank for one of every The production numbers are far far lower then that of the NFL and more and more collectors, like myself, are now tackling this set for something different to collect. There are were 9 different CFL franchises and all were made in bobbin heads, and perhaps turtle-like bobbin heads and perhaps touchdown bank bobbin heads. Those 9 franchises were as follows: British Columbia Lions, Calgary Stampeders, Edmonton Eskimos, Hamilton Tiger Cats, Montreal Alouettes, Ottawa Rough Riders, Toronto Argonauts, Saskatchewan Roughriders and Winnipeg Blue Bombers. I scrutinized this doll under a magnifying glass, as well as my black light, and can find no reason to believe that he isn’t completely original, never repaired, never painted, never refurbished in any way whatsoever. This is my favorite set, and the Dallas Texan is my absolute favorite bobbin head ever! I love red, love the state of Texas on it’s helmet and in my opinion, there isn’t a more attractive or beautiful bobbin head in the entire hobby. As you probably know, the Dallas Texans became the Kansas City Chiefs and thus a defunct team, making this and the New York Titans, also part of this set, far more valuable. And if you hadn’t seen my last Dallas Texan, which was the NICEST example of a Dallas Texan ever, you’d think this one was mint. He doesn’t quite have the deep intense shine of the MINT one and he has a little nick under his chin. It’s nearly impossible to see without searching. Your friends wouldn’t even notice a difference between the two, but you and I would. That little difference makes that much of a difference in price. Although it took me a year to sell that one, this one should go much more quickly. He has the round gold base, perfect decal on the base and both helmet decals are impeccable.
