Hello listed is a vintage paper mache Reddy Kilowatt nodder. Reddy has nice bright paint and minimal age related wear. Reddy measures 6.5 inches tall. Ok lets talk condition, Reddy has minty paint and no wear like missing paint or cracks or hairlines on head neck or body. I believe this is all factory with a small error in manufacturing on right side of hat top brim. In pics it is much more pronounced because on the shelf it displays very well. It is close ups micro and bright light s that sometimes make a pice look worse than it is. The nodders were not expensive when produced so small imperfections were satisfactory. The brim edge may have incurred a bump small dent on edge. I have looked close I do not believe it is a repair as they would have done a better job if they attempted it. I think it is a factory error and was painted regardless it looks and displays very well so new owner has to live with the small irregularity. Need more pics let me know. Items are looked over closely for any flaws that would affect the value of the item and are noted just in case you might not notice when viewing the pictures. I take my pictures in a zoom mode so you can see everything as it is under a microscope, and would not see such things sitting on a shelf in natural view. Must be notified 3 days afte. Description: Kenton made a series of three different comic characters “The nodders” In carts Being pulled by being pulled by a mule. This example is Happy Hooligan From Wiki: Happy Hooligan was a popular and influential early American comic strip, the first major strip by the already celebrated cartoonist Frederick Burr Opper. It debuted with a Sunday strip on March 11, 1900 in the William Randolph Hearst newspapers, and was one of the first popular comics with King Features Syndicate. [1] Characters and story The strip told the adventures of a well-meaning hobo who encountered a lot of misfortune and bad luck, partly because of his looks and his low position in society, but who did not lose his smile over it.
