Likely dates from the 1950s. Still has the original spring and the head bobbles and nods perfectly. Minor wear overall, including small areas of paint loss commensurate with age, but no breaks or chips or cracks. One scrape under the chin where the papier mache and paint did not fully bond. Measures 5 1/4 tall. Please review photos to make your own determination of condition. Charming CHICK design with bowler hat and bow tie. Made in West Germany. Likely dates from the 1950s. Papier mache body sprayed with textured plastic. Glass eyes and complete with original spring and the head bobbles and nods perfectly. The two sections fit together perfectly. Amazing that it has survived as well as it has – the hat and bow tie are still present. Minor wear overall commensurate with age but no rips or breaks or dents. Measures 6 1/2 tall. Marked as shown with original price 59c written in pencil. Please review photos to make your own determination of condition. I do try and describe my items accurately. ANTIQUE PAPIER PAPER MACHE Glass Eyes Nodder Bobblehead VINTAGE CIRCUS ELEPHANT. A, circa 1900, papier-mache bobble head or nodder elephant. He has flocking over the papier-mache, glass eyes, and glass tusks. He is a darker gray then shown in the photos (more like the photo looking down at him and from behind). This antique elephant measures approximately 8 1/2″ long x about 5″ high. He is in good condition with no breaks or apparent repairs and I don’t see any flocking missing. He does have some minor wear and soiling, from age and use. There must have been something else attached to each side of his saddle blanket because there is glue residue. This is a very rare, antique, papier-mache Elephant Nodder that will certainly compliment any collection! Being offered with no reserve. Vintage 1960’s Chicago Cubs Baseball bobblehead nodder figurine made of papier mache with Cubby Bear holding a bat. It measures approx 7 1/2″ tall with a gold base marked Chicago that measures 2 1/2″ by 2 1/4 with Sports Specialties Santa Monica Blvd Los California 67 Made in Japan. It has a tight hairline on the left side of its head with one line on the right that splits off on each side to the bottom. It has no visible loss to paint on its body tiny spot under spring of head that doesn’t show.
