They were made in the early sixties and the toes up version is by far the most beautiful, the cutest and also the most desirable and popular of all the football nodders. This is my favorite set, and the Dallas Texan is my absolute favorite bobbin head ever! I love red, love the state of Texas on it’s helmet and in my opinion, there isn’t a more attractive or beautiful bobbin head in the entire hobby. As you probably know, the Dallas Texans became the Kansas City Chiefs and thus a defunct team, making this and the New York Titans, also part of this set, far more valuable. And if you hadn’t seen my last Dallas Texan, which was the NICEST example of a Dallas Texan ever, you’d think this one was mint. He doesn’t quite have the deep intense shine of the MINT one and he has a little nick under his chin. It’s nearly impossible to see without searching. Your friends wouldn’t even notice a difference between the two, but you and I would. That little difference makes that much of a difference in price. Although it took me a year to sell that one, this one should go much more quickly. He has the round gold base, perfect decal on the base and both helmet decals are impeccable. I guarantee this doll to be original, never repaired, never painted, never refurbished in any way whatsoever.
