This is a rare vintage Cleveland Browns Black Player / blackface nodder, bobbinghead, bobblehead, bobble head from 1962-64. He toes-up set is very sought after by collectors, and the Black player subset is even more desirable. The Browns doll is one of the scarcest of all and the 2nd highest priced of the 13 dolls known to be in this set. Only the Washington Redskins Blackface doll is harder to find and cost more. This doll has undergone some light restoration work to bring it back to original looking condition. The head had some chipping around the bottom rim on the head, as well as some hairline cracks. The paint on the doll has been meticulously repainted where it was necessary – no touch ups. The most important thing about this doll is that the decals are all original —- The NFL shield decal between the legs, the “CLEVELAND” decal on the base, the “00” on his back, the helmet stripe and sleeve striping on both sides on arms.
