Washington Senators Square Color Base Baseball Nodder Bobble Head 1960 Vintage
This listing is for the Washington Senators Nodder. He was made in 1960, is part of the, ever so beautiful, “Color Base” set and stands nearly 7 inches tall. These dolls were one of the very first baseball nodders ever made and one of the most attractive. The set contains the Senators doll, which is a unicorn doll, you simply NEVER see them, the Cincinnati Reds, one of the prettiest dolls ever made, and St. Louis Cardinal, one of the most interesting dolls ever made. For the Cardinals that year, they used the Oriole head and was painted a myriad of colors which is why Eddie, Craig and myself, lovingly refer to her as the Hooker Doll. She’s simply wearing way too much makeup. This is the first Senators I’ve ever held in my hands and actually one of the rarest dolls in the entire hobby. He’s gloriously mint and only his rim has been touched up by a professional. All else on his head, and his entire body is original. This also happens to be the only “OLD” Washington Senators doll ever made, as they moved to Minnesota and were then named the Twins. I guarantee this doll to be 95% original and 100% mint and beautiful.
