Vintage 1960s St. Louis Cardinals Sports Specialties Bobblehead Nodder
Step back into baseball history with this vintage 1960s St. Louis Cardinals bobblehead, featuring the team’s classic redbird mascot in full uniform. This rare nodder is part of the early Sports Specialties Japan-made series, known for its hand-painted details and charming, slightly offbeat character. The figure stands approximately 7.5 inches tall and features the redbird mascot in a white Cardinals uniform with red sleeves, a black cap with the “STL” logo, and a golden base labeled St. Base: Gold with St. Bottom Sticker: “Sports Specialties – 10960 Wilshire Blvd – Los Angeles, Calif – JAPAN”. Spring neck, classic bobble action. ? Head is intact and bobbles properly. Notable paint chipping around the underside of the head/neck collar, edges of the cap, and beak tip. Some minor surface wear and light soiling from age. Displays very well from all angles. All condition issues are cosmetic and typical of bobbleheads from this era.
