Vintage New York Yankees Mickey Mantle 1960 era Bobble Head Doll
Mickey Mantle Original 1960s Bobble Head. Im original owner of this vintage Mickey Mantle Bobble head Doll. My family stayed at Mantles Holiday Inn in Joplin MO in the summer of 1961. I was 11 years old and bought Mickeys Bobble head in the gift shop. For the last 55 years it has been boxed, moved, and handled a hundred times. Amazing it is still in decent shape despite the fragile nature of this doll. This is the original square base design with the likeness of Mickey. As you can see from the pictures the body and face are very nice condition. There was some restoration on the back sides of the head, both left and right, and blue touch up of the back of the hat (the blue color on back of the hat is not a perfect match). Despite the repairs, the doll shows well and the bobble works fine. The body and base are in original condition. Im also including a Mickey Mantle VHS Tape – The American Dream Comes To Life – Mickeys only authorized video biography done in 1990 with live interview of the Mick. Mickey died in 1995 at age 63.
