1960s MICKEY MANTLE & ROGER MARIS 2 VINTAGE RARE NODDERS BOBBLE HEAD DOLLS
The Mantle nodder is a sweet example, the Maris is in the same overall condition, age and exposure but he had a bad accident at some time in the past. Mickey Mantle has a small nick to the bill of his cap and further over a teeny flake tiny imperfections of this sort are not uncommon on an otherwise near mint doll and can be remedied easily. Aside from his hat issue, Mickey is superb – lots of original gloss everywhere, bright colors, gem unfaded face with strong features, no lines at the back of his head and only dust to mention. The name on the base is 100% – also 100% on Roger Maris. The Maris doll has the obvious chunk out of the back of his head to be honest the rest of the doll is in the same great condition as Mantle. Roger also has a nick to the bill of his cap. These vintage bobble head dolls were almost certainly bought together and remained in a private home all these years. More than just a pretty picture.
