Available is this fabulous Tanjore style doll from India. It is a dancing bobble head style, a vintage piece and made from terra cotta and paper mache. It is hand painted, with fabulous details, and earrings that move a bit. The doll is four sections that fit together on v notched wires which results in wonderful movement. The doll is an older piece, unmarked and fairly large at 11.5 inches tall. She does show normal shelf wear and age, with some chipping to the paint. The back of her hair has missing paint as well. Her leg section has a small crack near the wires – but is stable and fully functional. This is a fabulous piece – dont miss it! From an online description. The centre of gravity and total weight of the doll is concentrated at its bottom-most point, generating a dance-like continuous movement with slow oscillations.
