Rare West Germany Papier Mache BOBBLE HEAD CHICK Easter Candy Container 1950s
Charming CHICK design with bowler hat and bow tie. Made in West Germany. Likely dates from the 1950s. Papier mache body sprayed with textured plastic. Glass eyes and complete with original spring and the head bobbles and nods perfectly. The two sections fit together perfectly. Amazing that it has survived as well as it has – the hat and bow tie are still present. Minor wear overall commensurate with age but no rips or breaks or dents. Measures 6 1/2 tall.
